Paper Pattern
Printed in large format and ready to use, our patterns are designed to make your job easier. Pieces don't overlap, and seam allowances are included and visible, allowing you to cut directly from your pattern, without spending time tracing everything. We also include numerous anecdotes and sewing tips to help you complete your project.
Our paper patterns come in their <disclothed> paris cardboard pouch, allowing you to store them neatly in your workshop. Their layout has been optimized to use a minimum of paper 🌱

PDF pattern
In a hurry? Opt for our PDF patterns: we've put just as much love into them as we did with our paper patterns (ease of use, sewing tips, etc.), but they have the advantage of being less expensive and landing directly in your inbox as soon as your order is validated. You'll receive them in A4 or A0 (large format) if you want to send them to your printer. A US Letter version is also available for American printers. Difficulty level
The Villette bob is perfect for sewing beginners. The biggest challenge here is to properly "tame the slouch," and the good news is that we explain how to do it in detail in our tutorial video.
That said, if you're a complete beginner, we recommend starting with small accessories like our 90s scrunchies.
Sewing prerequisites
- Know how to thread your machine and make basic adjustments (length and choice of stitch)
- Master the concepts of right side/wrong side of a fabric and straight grain

Seam allowances
Seam allowances are always included and visible here. They are 1 cm here.
Recommended fabrics
- Many fabrics are possible for making the bob <villette>: all warp and weft fabrics (woven fabrics) will be suitable as long as they are elastane-free.
- Knitted fabrics are not recommended for this model because we do not want any elasticity.
- Also avoid fabrics that are too thin, which would make the hat look cheap . The idea is to have a fabric that is thick enough to "hold together" in order to maintain the structured shape you wanted to give to your <villette> bucket hat. For the rest, let your imagination run wild!
Necessary equipment - not provided
- A sewing machine equipped with a standard needle and an empty bobbin
- Fabric: approximately 80 cm by 80 cm
- A spool of thread in a color that matches your fabric
- If your fabric is thin: a piece of iron-on interfacing suitable for making accessories (same size as your fabric piece)
- A pair of paper scissors
- A pair of fabric scissors
- An iron
- A box of sewing pins
- A seam ripper, just in case
Fabric Consumption
You will need a piece of fabric measuring approximately 80cm x 80cm to sew the bob < villette >
SIZE GUIDE - BOB VILLETTE
To measure your head circumference, take a tape measure and measure the circumference of your head where the bob will be placed. Do not tighten it, or you risk choosing a size that is too small.
If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size if your hair has little volume, and the larger size if you have a lot of hair or it is curly.
