ORDERS

Can I change or cancel my order?

Depending on the progress of your order, we may still be able to modify or cancel your order. Please contact us here as soon as possible so we can check together.

I haven't received a confirmation email, has my order been processed?

When you place an order on our site, you should see an order confirmation page. An order confirmation email is also sent to the email address you provided.

If you do not arrive at the order confirmation page, it is possible that your order was not completed. If you did not receive a confirmation email, please first check your spam folder. Please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team , we can check the status of your order with you.

The model I want is no longer available

We're sorry your pattern is no longer available. As we work exclusively with fabrics from dormant stocks of major luxury brands, we are unfortunately unable to restock when a fabric is out of stock. For our other products (haberdashery, sewing patterns, etc.), we may be temporarily out of stock: please feel free to write to us directly or subscribe to our newsletter to be notified of upcoming restocks.

DELIVERIES & RETURNS

Can I change the delivery address?

Depending on the progress of your order, we may still be able to change your delivery address. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can check together.

Which countries do you deliver to?

We currently deliver to mainland France and throughout the European Union (France, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden), as well as to the French Overseas Territories (Réunion, Guadeloupe, Mayotte, Martinique and French Guiana). What are your delivery times?

We ship your orders the same day most of the time, and within 2 business days at the most. Once the order has been shipped, allow 2 to 5 business days for delivery depending on the chosen carrier and the destination country. Find more information about deliveries here .

What delivery methods are available?

We work with Mondial Relay (delivery to a relay point) and Colissimo (home delivery) for deliveries to mainland France, and only with Colissimo for European Union countries and overseas territories. For Parisians, we offer the Click & Collect option, which allows you to collect your order free of charge from our offices, saving you on delivery costs. What are your delivery costs?

Our delivery rates vary depending on the destination country, the chosen carrier, and the order amount. In mainland France, delivery is free for orders over €95 via Mondial Relay, and for orders over €150 via Colissimo. We invite you to consult the details of our rates here .

Do you offer Click & Collect?

We offer Click & Collect for Parisians. We don't yet have a physical store, but we do have offices in two startup incubators:

  • French Fashion Institute - 34 Quai d'Austerlitz, 75013 Paris
  • NEOMA Business School - 6 rue Vandrezanne, 75013 Paris

You can choose to collect your package from one of these two addresses on the checkout page, saving on delivery costs. Find more information about deliveries here .

How long can my order stay at the relay point?

Packages delivered via Mondial Relay usually remain at the relay point for 1 week before being returned to our workshop. We therefore advise you to collect your order as soon as you are informed of its arrival. If your order is returned to our workshop in Paris, it will then be treated as a return and you will be refunded within 10 working days.

My package was not delivered to the correct relay point

When the selected collection point is unavailable, overloaded, or exceptionally closed, the carrier is forced to deliver your package to another collection point. We are not notified of these changes and unfortunately cannot change the location of receipt of your package when this happens. You will therefore have to go to this other collection point, otherwise the package will be automatically returned to us, in which case your order will then be treated as a return and you will be refunded within 10 working days.

I would like to exchange/return a product to you

No problem: you have 14 days to return the complete, unused product in its original packaging. To return a product, simply write to us here so we can process the return or exchange. Please note that returns are not possible on our digital patterns.

Returns are free in mainland France. However, we encourage you to shop responsibly and consider the environmental impact of purchasing and returning items. Click here to learn more about our returns policy.

When will I receive my refund?

Once the package has been received in our workshop, your refund will be made within 10 working days to the card used for payment.

Can I get a refund for a pattern purchased in PDF format?

Our PDF patterns are not eligible for returns as they are digital products (which by definition cannot be returned to us). That said, please do not hesitate to contact us here if you encounter any problems with our PDF patterns, we will be happy to assist you.

Where is my return label?

You no longer receive a prepaid return label to reduce the amount of paper we use. If you are eligible for free returns (metropolitan France), simply write to us here and we will send you a prepaid shipping label with instructions on how to return.

GIFT CARDS, CREDITS & PROMO CODES

How to offer a physical gift card?

This is a pretty card made of thick paper, delivered blank to the Buyer's address so that you can write a message for the Recipient. The card is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase and its delivery is free. Find more information here .

How to offer an e-gift card (digital)?

The e-gift card is sent directly to the email address of your choice (yours or the recipient's directly), upon validation of the order or at a later date. The e-gift card is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Find more information here .

How do I use my gift card?

Your gift card (paper or digital) includes a code that you simply enter at checkout. Your gift card functions as a payment method, so it can be combined with any current offers or discount codes you may have.

If you haven't spent the entire amount on your gift card, you can use your code again on your next order until you reach the balance. Find more information here .

Can I get a refund for a gift card?

You cannot get a refund for a gift card. You cannot use a promo code to purchase a gift card. Find more information here .

Can I return a product purchased with a gift card?

It is entirely possible to return an order paid for with a gift card. The order will be automatically refunded with a credit note that will be available in your customer account. If the amount to be refunded is greater than the amount on your gift card, we will refund the difference via the payment method used. Find our gift cards here .

How do I use my credit/promo code?

It's very simple: simply enter your credit code/promo code when paying in the box provided for this purpose.

Your credit can be combined with all current offers and with a promo code if you have one. If you haven't spent the entire amount of your credit, you can use your code again on your next order until you reach the balance.

Promo codes are not always combinable with other promo codes or special offers; the conditions are always specified in the email you received. If you have any difficulties using your promo code or credit, please do not hesitate to write to us , we will be happy to assist you.

Are you having sales?

At < disclothed > paris, we are fighting for a more sustainable, more authentic but also more creative fashion, one that does not destroy our planet and that respects human dignity. As we are fully committed to the slow fashion movement and an upcycling approach, participating in the sales would not make sense: we are already making new things from “old” things.

If we follow this reasoning, everything should have been on sale for at least three seasons now. Our prices have been carefully crafted to be as fair as possible. And a fair price is, above all, a price that doesn't change.

But above all, our goal is not to encourage you to buy, but on the contrary to promote a more fun and sustainable fashion, which would make you want to emancipate yourself from all its dictates: buy a sewing pattern and decline it endlessly using existing fabrics, transform a man's shirt into a dress, wear dresses when you are a man... Not to buy all the time, but just what you need. Clothes that last a long time, that we learn to create ourselves and that make us feel free. We find it much more fun that way ✌️

How to get a promo code?

As described in the paragraph just above, we do not intend to overwhelm you with discounts and promo codes.

We do not participate in sales, and we send promo codes very occasionally to our newsletter subscribers, either as a welcome gift or to thank them for giving us their time - by completing a customer satisfaction survey for example.

We prefer that you keep our clothes for a long time and cherish them for your whole life 💖 after having carefully considered the necessity of their purchase, rather than buying them on impulse to resell them on Vinted in 3 months.

What does a <disclothed> Paris sewing kit actually contain?

By ordering a sewing kit (or “ready-to-sew” model) < disclothed > paris, you will receive at home all the materials necessary to sew your garment yourself: the sewing pattern printed in large format and ready to use, the fabrics (from dormant stocks of major luxury houses), and all the haberdashery (thread, buttons, zips, textile label, etc.).

You are also guided step by step through our highly detailed tutorial videos so that you don't get lost, even if you are a beginner in sewing.

What is a paper pattern?

Our paper patterns are printed in large format and ready to use. They're designed to make your job easier: the pieces don't overlap, and the seam allowances are included and visible, allowing you to cut directly from your pattern, without spending time tracing everything. We also include plenty of anecdotes and sewing tips to help you complete your project.

Our paper patterns are delivered in their < disclothed > paris cardboard pouch, which allows you to store them and keep them neatly in your workshop. Their layout has been optimized to use a minimum of paper 🌱 Find all our sewing patterns here .

What is a PDF pattern?

Our sewing patterns are also available in PDF format. We've put just as much love into them as we did into our paper patterns (ease of use, sewing tips, etc.), but they have the advantage of being less expensive and arriving directly in your inbox as soon as you confirm your order.

You will receive them in A4 or A0 (large format) if you wish to entrust them to your printer. A US Letter version is also available for American printers. If you have never used a PDF pattern before, we explain how it works here . Find all our sewing patterns here .

What is the Swatch Book?

We've created the Swatch Book to help you better appreciate the quality of our fabrics before purchasing. It includes samples of all our fabrics from major luxury brands still available (around fifteen depending on remaining stock) and is priced at €15.00.

I would like to buy a sewing kit but I already have the pattern

If you have already ordered a sewing pattern from us and would now like to order the rest of the sewing kit (fabrics and haberdashery, without the pattern), please contact us. We can send you a discount code for the pattern amount and send you only what you need.

Do you have a subscription system (monthly boxes)?

We do not offer a subscription system because it would go against our dreams of a more sustainable fashion ( slow fashion ). We are committed to you choosing the models you prefer from us, and only buying them if you really like them and really need them.

The monthly box system would force you to consume, every month, items you haven't necessarily chosen, like, or will necessarily wear. This is not our vision of tomorrow's fashion.

How long does it take to sew a project?

It of course depends on the model you choose, your sewing level and your personal speed (some people sew very quickly and others prefer to take their time).

Currently, our designs can be sewn in 1 hour for the quickest projects, and in 6 or 7 hours for the most elaborate designs. All approximate production times are indicated on our product sheets. Find all our ready-to-sew designs here .

How difficult are your models?

The idea for the < disclothed > paris project came to us from the desire to make sewing accessible to everyone, especially beginners and those who would like to get started but don't know where to begin.

For each model, we indicate its level of difficulty, the sewing prerequisites to master, as well as the possible difficulties you will face. We also indicate the different methods that will be covered, so that you realize the real difficulty of each model and can evaluate your progress over the projects. And then of course, you can watch all the tutorial videos of our models to get an idea of ​​their difficulty before purchasing.

You'll see, sewing isn't that complicated when it's explained well, and you often progress much faster than you imagine!

Do you make tutorial videos?

All our models are accompanied by an ultra-detailed tutorial video, guiding you step by step through each stage of the production process. You can find them freely accessible on our YouTube channel or directly integrated into our assembly ranges . They allow you to progress at your own pace, from home, like a real home sewing course. We do the same thing as you, at the same time as you, with the same pattern and the same fabric as you. Impossible to go wrong.

Are seam allowances included in your patterns?

Yes, seam allowances are always included with us. This saves you time tracing your pattern and then adding seam allowances all around: you cut directly into your pattern and can start sewing immediately. We also provide visible seam allowances, allowing you to easily change the finishes offered if necessary. Find all our sewing patterns here .

I'm stuck at a stage of the production process, can you help me?

Each of our ready-to-sew designs comes with a complete and highly detailed assembly guide : we explain each step of the process, and they're complemented by numerous photos and explanatory diagrams. If you're not sure what to do, our tutorial video is here for you! We'll do the same thing as you, at the same time as you, with the same pattern and fabric as you. You can't go wrong.

That said, if despite all this you feel stuck or get stuck at any stage, our customer service team is here! This has never happened to us yet, but if you need additional help, we are of course available and will offer to exchange with you via video, within 24-48 hours. Simply write to us here . Is customization possible?

We always offer several possible options for our models (different fabrics, sleeve lengths, etc.). For any more specific customization requests, do not hesitate to write to us directly so that we can discuss it with you.

What size should I choose?

When sewing, it's important to always refer to the size guide for the product in question. You'll find them on all our product pages, and we'll explain how to take your measurements correctly to choose the right size.

Indeed, not all pattern brands grade the same way: some run large, others run small. As for us, we try to grade our models as closely as possible to what is done in traditional ready-to-wear. In other words, if you usually wear a size M in stores, you should wear a size M with us.

Do you do plus sizes?

We're committed to offering you plus-size options. Our styles range from a minimum size 34 to 46 for women, and up to an XL for our men's styles. Some of our women's styles even go up to a size 54.

If you cannot find your size on a product, please do not hesitate to write to us to let us know: if several of you ask for a size larger than those offered, we can work on developing new sizes and keep you informed of their release.

Why is there only one size per pattern?

We wanted to offer you only one size per pattern, first of all for the sake of readability. When we started sewing 15 years ago, we were completely lost when faced with the complexity of the patterns available in stores, and it was not uncommon to make a mistake in the line (and therefore the size) when cutting out our pattern.

Our patterns are simplified and annotated so you have no chance of making mistakes. We highlight the essential features that will allow you to easily adjust the pattern to your measurements.

Furthermore, offering you only one size on the pattern also allows us to protect (a little) our work. Indeed, our PDF patterns have already ended up on forums and other Facebook groups for “free patterns”. We work hard to develop our models and it is deeply regrettable to see that some unscrupulous people distribute them for free to groups with sometimes up to 80,000 members, thus depriving our company of income that would allow it to continue to exist. We thank you for your understanding 🙏

Can I sell models sewn using your patterns?

It is strictly forbidden to use our sewing patterns for commercial purposes. Our designs are protected and may not be used for any purpose other than personal use. Any illegal sharing or reproduction for commercial purposes will be punishable by law.

Are your clothes vegan?

Not all of our clothing is vegan, as some of the fabrics we offer are of animal origin (such as our 100% wool jerseys or our silks). That said, we are very sensitive to the animal cause and we promise to never offer you real leather or fur in our sewing kits. Respect for the rights and dignity of animals is clearly one of our biggest fights .

Finally, all the fabrics we offer come from dormant stocks of major luxury brands: this means that we did not produce them, but rather we reuse fabrics that have already been produced by others, and which should have been thrown away (because they were not used at the end of the season). Our goal is to avoid overconsumption by reusing existing materials.

Where do you produce?

All our models are designed and developed in our workshop in Paris: design, development of the first canvases, retouching, digitalization and prototyping... We do everything ourselves and work occasionally with companies and freelancers based in France exclusively (mainly in Paris).

Where can I buy your products?

We don't have a physical store yet. You can find our products on our website: www.disclothed-paris.com. We also recently opened our store on ETSY .

Are you on social media?

You can identify us on social networks ( Instagram , Facebook , YouTube , Pinterest , etc.) by tagging our account and using the hashtag #disclothedparis. If you post a model from us, you can use the hashtags #disclothedbyme and #modelname: for example #hanbokblouse (we give you the corresponding hashtag on the sewing pattern of the model in question).

Please note: if you have a closed profile on Instagram, we cannot see your posts even when you use our hashtags (only your friends can see them). In this case, don't hesitate to share your photos with us by writing to us directly on the networks. It's always a great pleasure to see you wearing our creations!

PAYMENTS & PERSONAL DATA

Are payments secure?

Payments on the site are secure. They are made via the Stripe payment system. The < disclothed > paris site does not access your banking information at any time. Payment security is based on buyer authentication and the confidentiality of all data. To ensure this security, Stripe uses proven cryptography techniques and complies with the various banking regulations applicable in France.

As part of the fight against Internet fraud, information relating to the Buyer's Order may be transmitted to any third party authorized by law for the sole purpose of verifying the Buyer's identity, the validity of the Order, the payment method used and the planned delivery.
