How to use our PDF patterns?
We explain everything in this video. For those who prefer to read us, find all the written instructions further down this page. We encourage you to read them carefully to avoid making any mistakes.
Bosses of ready-to-use sewing
Our sewing patterns are ready-to-use: the pieces don't overlap, and seam allowances are included. So, there's no need to trace and then transfer your pattern onto the fabric, or to draw seam allowances yourself. You cut directly into your pattern, saving time by moving straight to sewing.
Our patterns are also annotated with numerous sewing tips and notes so that they are understandable even by the uninitiated. We had to heart to offer you clear and fun sewing patterns, so that even complete beginners in sewing are not lost.
Pocket patterns or PDF patterns?
✂︎ Pocket Patterns
Our pocket-sized patterns are paper patterns that we deliver to your home. They are printed in large format (A0) and supplied in their <disclothed> paris cardboard sleeve so that you can keep them neatly in your sewing corner.
We ship them every (business) day. Depending on the delivery method chosen, they can still take 2 to 4 days to arrive at your home, so allow for some time if you're in a hurry. Our partners Mondial Relay and Colissimo sometimes manage to deliver very quickly, but we've had a few occasions where the package has been in transit for several days with them.
Pocket-sized patterns are convenient because you don't have to spend time assembling them. Once you receive them, simply cut them out and start sewing.
✂︎ PDF patterns
All our patterns are also available in PDF format: many of you prefer to buy our patterns in PDF format because they have the advantage of being less expensive on the one hand, but also of landing directly in your inbox, as soon as the order is validated. You can thus print them at home and start sewing without delay.

PDF Patterns: What You Get
As with our paper patterns, you will find a little love note and QR codes directing you to our tutorial video , or to the online assembly range if you prefer to read us. You will also find the technical sheet of the model as well as the assembly plan to follow to assemble your pattern, and of course your pattern in A4 format to print directly at home.
We also include the pattern in large format (A0) that you can give to your printer if you wish. Finally, you will also receive your pattern in US Letter format, for printers in North America.
Print the PDF Pattern
Please note: when printing your pattern at home, first remember to print it in actual size so that the tracings are correct. You can adjust the scale if necessary by entering 100%:
Here we see that the computer automatically sets us to 96% or 97% instead of 100%, so it's slightly smaller than what it's supposed to be:
It may not seem like much, but consider that with a waist size of 80 cm, for example, you would lose almost 4 cm. So you'll quickly end up down a size if you're not careful.
After printing, check the scale using our small test square printed on the first page of your pattern: it measures 3 cm by 3 cm, so check that you have the same thing at home.
PDF Pattern Assembly
Once you've started printing, refer to your assembly plan. The assembly plan is simply used to help you understand how to assemble your A4 pages together to get the complete pattern. It's a bit like a puzzle, except you're already given the solution 🙃

To make things easier for you, we've drawn frames so the information doesn't get lost in the margins when printing. Depending on your printer and how you place your sheets in the tray, the printout may not be perfectly aligned with the edges of the sheets - which can create a slight offset if you don't have a frame and simply tape your pages edge to edge. Thanks to our frame, we're sure to have a perfectly correct template, down to the millimeter.
All that's left to do is tape everything together, aligning the frames on each page, edge to edge. If you're not sure how to do this, we invite you to watch the video above on this page: we show you several different techniques to save time while remaining precise. And there you have it, your pattern is now complete, and all you have to do is cut out your pieces before moving on to sewing.
