Printed in large format and ready to use, our patterns are designed to make your job easier. The pieces do not overlap, and seam allowances are included and clearly visible, allowing you to cut directly into your pattern without spending time tracing everything. We also include lots of sewing anecdotes and tips to help you successfully complete your project.
Our paper patterns are delivered in their < disclothed > paris cardboard sleeve, so you can store and keep them neatly in your workshop. The layout has been optimized to use as little paper as possible 🌱

In a hurry? Choose our PDF patterns : we put just as much care and love into these as we do into our paper patterns (ease of use, sewing tips, etc.), but they have the added advantage of being more affordable and landing directly in your inbox as soon as your order is confirmed. You’ll receive them in A4 or A0 (large format) if you want to send them to your printer. A US Letter version is also available for American printers. If you’ve never used a PDF pattern before, we’ll explain how it works here.

• Sew an elasticated belt with LOTS of gathers (and make sure it stays flat on the inside!)
• Make some beautiful topstitching
• Sew a double hem

Quite easy. The < cedar > mini skirt is perfectly suitable for beginner sewists ! However, pay attention to the fabric you choose : if you are a beginner, opt for a fairly lightweight fabric, as sewing an elastic waistband with a thick fabric can be more challenging.

• Know how to thread your machine and perform basic settings (stitch length and selection)
• Master the concepts of right side/wrong side of a fabric and straight grain
• Understand and master the backstitch
• Know what a seam allowance is
• Know how to "overcast" or "serge" (using a zigzag stitch on a sewing machine or an overlocker)

It will take 5 to 6 hours to make your < cedar > mini skirt

Seam allowances are always included and visible on our sewing patterns. They are 1 cm here

• Choose a fluid fabric for this model to do justice to all those gathers 🩵🖤 (viscose, Tencel, silk, very fine knit, etc.).
• The ideal weight is between 200 and 350g/m². A fabric that is too heavy could actually compromise the making of your elasticated waistband — we tested this with the white fabric you see in the photos here, which weighs 450g/m², and we had to “cheat” at the waist because the weight of the fabric prevented our elastic from staying properly in place.
